Woman Sues Victoria's Secret, Claims Injury From Defective Thong
A Los Angeles woman claims she was injured by her Victoria's Secret thong, prompting her to sue the underwear manufacturer.
The plaintiff in the case, Macrida Patterson, 52, attributed the May 2007 injury to a Victoria's Secret "low-rise v-string," according to a court document posted on The Smoking Gun.
Patterson's lawyer told The Smoking Gun that a "design problem" caused a decorative metallic piece on the underwear to fly up and hit Patterson in the eye while she was putting the underwear on. Patterson's product liability lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last week.
The Smoking Gun reported that, prior to the lawsuit, officials from Victoria's Secret had asked to see the offending underwear but were refused by Patterson's lawyer.

Irvine Robbins, who was co-founder of Baskin-Robbins brought Rocky Road, Pralines 'n Cream and other exotic ice cream concoctions to every corner of America, has died at age 90.

Sad news since it is almost summer, which is the best time of the year for ice cream.
Baskin-Robbins releases a special summer flavor called Pink Bubble Gum, which should explain all my cavities, but I still recommend you try it out, in memory of Irvine Robbins!

McCartney reportedly inks deal with Apple
Multiple UK news outlets are reporting today that Sir Paul McCartney has reached a deal with Apple to offer the Beatles catalog on the iTunes Store. The deal, reportedly worth $400 million, comes after months and months of speculation and relentless torrents of rumors. As best as we can tell, this is the real deal, and will lead to the most popular band of all time finally finding its way onto an online marketplace.
While McCartney will be keeping much of the money, several other parties stand to benefit from the deal. It is being reported that portions of the sum will be going to families of the deceased members of the Beatles, Ringo Starr, Sony, EMI, and the former owner of the catalog, Michael Jackson.
As of today there is no time frame as to when the catalog will appear online, but it seems to just be a matter of time. McCartney himself even said in November that the catalog would be making its way onto the the store some time in 2008 While we have heard this sort of thing time and time again, this might just be the real deal. Prepare yourself—Beatlemania is coming to iTunes.

This might be taking advertising and marketing to a new extreme because of the highest price tag associated with having your name on the stadium, stadium being sponsored by a corporation for the most money ever paid, but also because the interior of the stadium is being sponsored as well.

Movie Review: The Bourne Ultimatum

Have you ever been exhausted after watching a movie? You will be after seeing The Bourne Ultimatum. This movie is full of non stop action right from the beginning! Great fights, car chases... you name it, Jason Bourne (or is he Jason Bourne??? hmmm) is going to kick some ass. Matt Damon reprises his role in this highly successful movie series, which leads off not too far after where The Bourne Supremecy left off. It is safe to say that you do need to see the first two movies to follow along with the major plot line. Jason Bourne keeps the CIA on its toes all over the world with his survival skills and wit. There are many times you think that there is no way a person can survive all the things that Bourne goes through, but you have to remember that these are the reasons people enjoy coming back to see the same character over and over and over again. Once you can move past that, the fight scenes and car chases are very well shot, the story is a new twist on an old character and the cast, both returning and new actors, hold their own.

No word on if there will be a fourth Bourne film, but Matt Damon has been quoted as saying if that do make one, they should call it "The Bourne Redundancy." Maybe skip the 4th movie when it comes out, but definitely check out Ultimatum on the big screen.

Bourne Ultimatum: 4.5 fake passports, tapped cell phones and sharpshooter assassins out of 5.

Movie Review: Superbad

SUPERBAD

I happened to see this movie on the same day my dad saw Mr. Bean. He was debating seeing Superbad, but chose Mr. Bean instead. Good choice Dad, because Superbad would have been the kind of movie he would have gone on to analyze and lament about today's youth, which is exactly the reason you, the TrashyPantz reader, will love Superbad. This quotable movie follows the same sort of plot lines you will find in most movies based in high school. Unpopular kids want to be popular and do something to try to gain respect from their classmates, girls especially. The difference here is that this movie does not hold back the raunchy factor, and at times, you almost think that Seth (lovable and chubby Jonah Hill) and Evan (Arrested Developments George Michael) are improving lines that the camera keeps rolling for. It reminds you how many conversations with friends go- no holds barred and very funny, usually with a comment that will be remember and repeated for a long time. The rest of the cast does a great job keeping up the pace- but there are points where you question where a scene is going to go but you stick with it. Therefore...

Will HEROES get "LOST"?

I don't know who makes these TV programming decisions, but they must be hopped up on Red Bull, Coffee and Mountain Dew...

This past TV season saw a move for Lost from its 9pm slot to a 10pm slot so it would not have to compete with American Idol, which has caused a loss in viewership and ad revenue for ABC. Now NBC is mulling a move of it's most popular show Heroes, which now airs Mondays at 9pm to Thursdays at 10pm, where ER is slowly fading and the time slot is low in ratings on all networks.

Looks like my DVR will be working overtime!

This sweet boy has a real heartbreaking story to tell you - if he could talk. This is what we know: Scooby grew up with a little girl in the country. When the family moved to another town, Scooby was no longer wanted - so they kept him in a pen in the back of their yard. Then one day the family moved again - and left Scooby and the family cats behind. A kind neighbor rescued Scooby and the cats and brought them to the Humane Society. A dog like Scooby does not have much time in such a place - and when his heartworm test turned out positive - his days were numbered. Fortunately, Scooby caught a ride North to ROAR (Ridgefield Operation Animal Rescue, http://www.roar-ridgefield.org/ ) - and now he's looking for a nice warm place to retire. He's great on a leash and very calm and well-mannered. He grew up with children and cats. He's great with other dogs. He has so much to give - even after so much has been taken away from him. We will finish his treatment for heartworm with the help of our vets before sending ScoobyDoo off to retirement. Approximate age: 6-8 yrs Breed: Corgi-Chow mix

After a 4 page application, 2 non-family references and a visit to our home, Scooby will be part of our family starting this weekend! He will be on bed rest for the next month while his heartworm treatment runs its course. After that, he will be active, playing with other dogs at doggie daycare, and hopefully with our neighbors dog Peanut as well! He can't wait to meet all of you!

As for my thoughts, it is hard to admit that yes, Britney Spears did change the the world in terms of music that become popular, and not necessarily for the better. Report: George Hamilton Frontrunner to Replace Price’s Bob Barker

Could the new host of ''The Price Is Right'' have a permanent tan? That might be the case if the rumors about our favorite tan man George Hamilton replacing the retiring Bob Barker are true. First tipped by the TMZ.com Web site, and also mentioned by my sources at CBS, the eye network's head honcho Les Moonves and ''Price'' producers reportedly are positive about Hamilton's ability to take the long-running hit game show in a new direction -- without endangering the loyal audience base Barker has maintained. Lily Allen is British, talented, young and a bit angry... which makes for great energetic music with extremely entertaining lyrics mixed in with rap, ska and hop-hop influence.

Dan & I headed to the ER around 7:30 and didn't get home until 11pm with this contraption on my hand. Have no fear, I was very brave (only cried for a few seconds) and my thumb should be healed in about 2-3 months (the splint is only for one more day or so). My supply of percosets however, will not last 2-3 months. Woe is me.

It's true. The Van Halen tour that was never officially announced is now officially postponed indefinitely, sources told Pollstar. The rumored tour took on an air of reality after a trade magazine announced that original singer David Lee Roth was about to sign on the dotted line, and that was soon followed by a press release via Eddie Van Halen’s spokeswoman-slash-girlfriend. Unfortunately, the worldwide frenzy of a VH reunion was too good to be true, at least for the present day. However, there was a lot of paper getting inked and Pollstar understands that a tour announcement might not have been far off.

On another reunion tour note... It is impossible to get Police tickets. Shows sold out in no time flat. According to a close source, a friend was waiting overnight in line outside of MSG for tickets. 12 people went in, got tickets, and there were no more left. Tickets are going for thousands on ebay. This is all due to the fact that The Police had 2 presales. One through Best Buy, the other through their Fan Club. More dates are being added, but those tickets will still be just as hard to get. My dream to relive the 80's for one night is dwindling.

Chris Cornell to Leave Audioslave

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Chris Cornell is leaving rock group Audioslave, citing "irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences."
"I wish the other three members nothing but the best in all of their future endeavors," Cornell said Thursday in a statement.
An after-hours call to Audioslave's music label was not immediately returned.
Cornell, 42, a former singer and guitarist with Seattle grunge band Soundgarden, said he'll release a solo album May 1 called "Carry On." He also co-owns a restaurant in Paris, where he splits his time.
Audioslave was formed in 2001 and comprised of Cornell and three former members of Rage Against the Machine. The group recorded three albums and performed in Havana in 2005.
Meanwhile, Rage Against the Machine planned to reunite to perform at this year's Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival, which runs April 27 through 29. Tom Morello, the lead guitarist of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, has said the concert is a one-shot deal.

Tonight A&E begins airing reruns of the acclaimed crime drama, scrubbed up for basic cable with less cursing, less violence and less sex but the same compelling plotlines and whip-smart dialogue.
The show’s first appearance outside HBO comes four months before the mob drama returns for its final eight original episodes in April and could lead to an uptick in viewership if people who had never watched the show before become fans.
A&E paid a bundle, a record $2.5 million per episode, to acquire rights to the show’s 86 episodes. It took a year for the editing team from HBO and A&E to clean up the episodes, including popping bathing suits on the Bada Bing strip club dancers, and A&E has rolled out a very aggressive ad campaign to promote “Sopranos,” which will air back-to-back episodes Wednesdays at 9 p.m.
A&E is also hyping the show with an online “Sopranos Connection” game that promises $100,000 to the winner. Players must collect game pieces from “Sopranos” ads that run online, in magazines and elsewhere, which help them predict the plot of the episode.

NEW YORK (AP) -- It may feel like looking into the mirror for Bill O'Reilly and Stephen Colbert next week. The Fox News Channel host and Colbert, who has essentially based his comic character every evening on Comedy Central on him, will trade appearances on each other's programs Jan. 18.

"I'm really looking forward to speaking to a man who owes his entire career to me," O'Reilly said.

On "The Colbert Report," Colbert portrays a self-involved talk-show host who has tried to bring "truthiness" to the world. His character owes an obvious debt to O'Reilly, who holds court in the "no-spin zone" each evening.

On "The O'Reilly Factor," O'Reilly portrays a ... um, he hosts the top-rated program in cable news.

"I look forward to the evening," Colbert said. "It is an honor to speak face-to-face with a broadcasting legend, and I feel the same way about Mr. O'Reilly."

Fox's once-hot `The O.C.' is canceled

The O.C. burst onto TV with so many fights that ended up crashing a catering table at a fancy party, you lost count! Mothers were sleeping with daughters boyfriends, pool houses were made into luxury accommodations for a kid from the streets of , family sailboats were taken to escape all the pressure of high society life and relationships, girls dressed as as Superwoman, tragic deaths of a surfer and a socialite...

Ahhh, it was all so dramatic and exciting... until this season. The show has been losing it's audience season after seasons. Season 1 maintained 10 million viewers and this now final season has only managed to grab 4 million viewers.

The final episode of the drama will air 9 p.m. EST Thursday, Feb. 22 on FOX.

Grammy Nominations

This years Grammy nominations are for less crappy then they have been in the past few years. Although, one nomination for Justin Timberlake is one too many, he did somehow manage to get 4 nominations.

The most nominations went to Mary J Blidge, with eight nominations in total. Second highest number of nominations (six) went to... The Red Hot Chili Peppers, TrahyPantz's favorite band (would I ever steer you wrong?) for their double disc album Stadium Arcadium. John Mayer received 5 nominations for his newset and most blues influenced album, Continuum. James Blunt got 5 nominations for his way overplayed song You're Beautiful and the album it came off of. How many people did his girlfriend, Petra Nemcova, have to sleep with to get him these undeserving nominations??

Unfortunately, the Black Eyed Peas got one nomination because someone thought My Humps wasn't the worst song in the world. This person should be hung by thier toes and made to listen to Fergalicious over and over and over again.

On the flipside of that, much more deserving artists, with real talent, received nods, like... Tom Petty, The Arctic Monkeys, Death Cab For Cutie, John Legend, Keane, Coldplay, David Gilmour, Gnarls Barkley and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, just to name a few. (By the way, these artists have all been featured on the sidebar at one time or another over the past year!)

The 49th Grammy Awards will air live on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 11.

Cowboys-Giants game is highest rated since 1997

Last Sunday's highly anticipated battle for first place in the NFC East between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys delivered first-place ratings for Fox. The game was the highest-rated regular-season NFL game in nearly a decade. The game, which aired just after 4 p.m., scored 27.6 million total viewers and a 17.8 household rating and 32 share, according to numbers from Nielsen Media Research. It was the highest-rated game since 1997's Dec. 15 Monday night battle between the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos, which aired on ABC. The game was likely given a shot in the arm from the "Bowl Championship Series Selection Show," which followed immediately after and which announced which schools would be participating in the controversial collegiate championship. That show averaged an 8.4/13 and 13.3 million viewers. Season to date, Fox’s national game average has now jumped ahead of "Grey's Anatomy" as the top-rated show on TV. It’s averaging a 14.3/27, up from last year’s 13.1/24.

So, more people than ever saw the Giants get beat down for the 5th time in a row. Awesome. Can Neilsen create a formula to see how many pissed of Giants fans there are after each Sunday??

The Onondaga County Health Department has shut down a popular eatery in Syracuse after numerous incidents of sickness after people ate the restaurant’s food. The Dinosaur Bar-B-Que on Clinton Street will be closed until Monday as a precaution after the health department received reports that as many as 270 people got sick after eating there last weekend.

Michael Richards exploded in anger as he performed at a famous L.A. comedy club last Friday, hurling racial epithets that left the crowd gasping, and TMZ has obtained exclusive video of the ugly incident.

Richards, who played the wacky Cosmo Kramer on the hit TV show "Seinfeld," appeared onstage at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood. Kyle Doss, an African-American, told TMZ he and some friends were in the cheap seats and he was playfully heckling Richards when suddenly, the comedian lost it.

No Name and I were tied for first place at the beginning of the week, and then Bartley crept into the running putting him and I in a tie. Yours truly was given one extra vote to leave Bartley in the dust, and No Name squeezed into the lead later in the week. Kenny, Pete and Jdubb each scored votes in their honor of first to make an ass out of themselves. This move came as a shock due to the fact that Kenny and Jdubb should have received more votes much earlier in the week.

The Best Worst Promo Ever

While flipping channels last night during the commercial breaks of Jeopardy, I was lucky enough to see a promo that aired last night during the CBS broadcast of The Insider. Apparently, the interview of the month is the one that they have with Anna Nicole Smith, who has granted the show her first interview since the birth of her daughter, the death of her son and her marriage to Howard K Stern. The interview is set to air starting Thursday, which means they will drag it out over a few days time.

I really could give a shit about this, but the reason that I am making a post about this is because the promo for this interview is one of the most absurd things I have ever seen. They take it so seriosuly! I could see an interview with Kim Jong Il getting a seriosu promotional spot, but Anna Nicole Smith? The best part of the whole thing was when the host of The Insider interviewed the guy who interviewed Anna Nicole Smith. I mean REALLY... How lame!!
